Snotlout

He is strong, bold and courageous. He always tries to show his skills, especially, when Astrid is around. He want’s to be the best killing dragons and he rides a monstrous nightmare at the end of the movie.

Fishlegs

He knows almost everything about dragons because he read the book of dragons seven times. He helped Hiccup with the red Death by telling him all the things he saw of the dragon. He is fat. 

 

Ruffnut and Tuffnut

They are twins. They participate in the training with Hiccup. Their ironic words prove humorous while their struggle. Ruffnut is in love with Hiccup at the end of the movie. They help Hiccup with Red Death.

Red death

This big dragon was hidden in the mountain without doing anything, just eating from the others dragons food.

If they didn’t  bring him enough food they were killed and they didn’t  want that. He is killed by Toothless and Hiccup. 

Toothless

This night fury is playful and very intelligent. Before Hiccup discovered him no one knew how he was. He is loyal and protective. With his black skin he can camouflage in the night. Hiccup and Toothless become good friends during the movie. Hiccup creates a tail for Toothless so he can fly.  Toothless and Hiccup became friends and they brought the  entire village peace. They also have their own dragons. 

Gobber

He is brave and loyal. He has only one hand and one leg. He trains vikings in the dragon training academy and Hiccup turns to be his favorite. After Hiccup he is the one that knows more about dragons. He normally helps Stoick with his issues as a chief. He convinces Stoick to let Hiccup in the academy. 

Astrid

She is considered to be one of the best teen viking in the village. She has great skills training and she dedicates a lot of time training because she wants to be the best in killing dragons. She has the same perception with dragons as the other vikings. When she discovers Toothless and Hiccup she wants to go and tell the village but then she decides to help. 

Stoick the vast

He is the chief of the village. He is strong and brave and he has a long red bear. He also wears a cape around his shoulder. At the beginning of the movie he doesn’t like dragons and he want’s to kill them but at the end he allows dragons in the village. He thinks his son is not the best viking and he fells shame because of Hiccup. He is all the movie trying to find the dragon’s nest.

Hiccup

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is the son of Stoick the vast. He doesn’t fit in the characteristics of a viking and he is 15 years old. Hiccup is intelligent and creative and invents a lot  of new things. At the beginning he wanted to kill a dragon but it turns out that he can’t do it. He can be a great leader and strategist. He is a good trainer and uses what he sees to train the dragons and people. At the beginning he is a little bit shy with the others.  Toothless is his best friend and he loves to ride his dragon. He brings peace to Berk by establishing a friendship with Toothless.

Every time the dragons see a knife or other things that can hurt them they get angry

Irony: 

Stoick thinks they won the first time when they discovered the nest but he didn’t know that there was another dragon inside. ( dramatic irony) 

Gobber says that most of Hiccup is good at the end ( irony, he doesn’t have a leg anymore)
